Spring!

It's official. Ashes has seen her shadow and declares it is Spring!

For those of you who don't know Ashes, she is my sweet kitty that is soon to be 15 years old. She developed diabetes last year, and has been very ill since about October. In fact, we really did not expect her to survive the winter. With love and care, she has been doing much better in recent months. It has become her habit to just quietly hang out in my bedroom all day, coming out only to eat or use the facilities. Then the sun started shining. She has been making more appearances in the living room, basking in the springtime rays. Ahh, the sunshine makes us all feel better.

I know the sun sure does help me too. It makes everything look just a little bit happier.

What a very, very beautiful cat Ashes is! Our cat Lady is also very old, she'll be 18 this year and has been having quite some health problems lately too. But with a lot of love and care our little old ladies are having a beautiful autumn of their lives, and that's the best we can give to them, don't you agree?
All the best to Ashes and you!

Ooooh such a cute kitty. Glad to hear she’s doing better. I am a cat owner of a 13 year old named Darla who reigns supreme in my household…lol. What an adorable business cardholder. Love the yarn recycling idea… can’t wait to see the completed shawl. Thanks for posting on my Oasis Halter.

Please tell Ashes that though she thinks it is spring, Josie disagrees. It is 50 degrees here.
