Feelin' Swappy!

What a great day! I received these beautiful stitch markers from my swap partner, Melissa. The swap is through Get Stitchy!, a great online forum for knitters, crocheters, and other fiber enthusiasts. I love the blue and silver...one of my favorite combinations.

And here are the ones I made for her. I really liked working with the green glass beads and the silver wires. These are not my first markers, but I do have very limited experience making them. Each time, I learn a little more... especially about making the wire loops. Below is my first attempt at a row counter. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. I'll need to make one for myself now!

Those are beautiful! I never would have thought of using such elegant little trinkets as stitch markers.

Thanks for all the wonderful comments! I'm so glad you like them, Melissa! Selena, you need to treat yourself! Becka, we'll get you next time! And Crissy, the row counter is so simple... Starting with the ring at the end opposite the charm, you slide it on your needle for the first row of a pattern (like a lace stitch repeat, etc.) Next row, slide it on the needle using the second ring. Next row, third ring, and so on. It really helps keep track of which row you're on...especially if you set it down for a while. This one counts up to six rows (six rings).
